Digital note-taking in your consult
← All resources
To help our doctors give you their full attention, some of our GPs use Lyrebird Health, a secure AI digital scribe that listens during your appointment and helps draft the clinical notes. It means more eye contact and conversation, and less time spent looking at a screen.
Your doctor will ask before using it, and you're always welcome to say no; they'll simply take notes the usual way. Your care is never affected by your choice.
Key points
- With your consent, the consultation audio is transcribed in real time, processed in Australia, and discarded once the notes are drafted; the audio itself is not kept.
- Your doctor reviews the notes before they go into your medical record.
- Your doctor will ask for your consent before using Lyrebird, and you can decline or ask them to stop at any time.
- Have a question? Just ask your doctor or our friendly reception team.
